We Love Ballarat is an independent publication in development. Our purpose is simple: help people notice, discover and share the good things in their city.

We’re here for the familiar favourites and the overlooked details. The people who make things. The places worth a detour. The everyday contributions that make a city feel like home.

Local first. Curious always.

Our focus is the City of Ballarat, including Buninyong. We aim to make something useful for residents, with visitors welcome to benefit from the same local knowledge.

How we earn your trust

Positive doesn’t mean uncritical. We distinguish introductory ideas from researched reviews, explain the basis for recommendations and correct material mistakes. Our guides are researched from linked public sources. Our directory uses dated Google review snapshots alongside category fit and variety; it is a starting selection, not a ranking or a claim that we have inspected the businesses.

Any future sponsorship will be clearly labelled. Paying for advertising will not buy editorial approval. When personal or commercial relationships might affect a story, we’ll disclose them and arrange independent review where needed.
